Our Approach
Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) for TMJ dysfunction focuses on reducing pain, tension, and movement restrictions affecting the jaw, neck and surrounding structures. Treatment targets the muscles of mastication, jaw, neck, shoulders, and upper back, as these areas often contribute to TMJ symptoms. Using a combination of intra-oral and extra-oral techniques (when appropriate), myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and relaxation techniques.
Our Difference
Massage therapy for TMJ dysfunction, will look and feel different from other massage therapy techniques. Manual therapy around the TMJ is gentle, we use slow precise movements that stretch and relax the muscles and joint supporting structures. This safe and effective approach not only protects delicate structures of the jaw but also works with the nervous system-gentle pressure signals the nerves to reduce muscle guarding and tension, helping the jaw respond more comfortably and successfully to treatment.
Our Treatment
Treatment plans are individualized based on assessment findings and may also include home care recommendations such as posture awareness, stretching, and stress-management strategies to support long-term relief and functional improvement.
So welcome! You’re in the right place to relax, release tension, and let our RMT treatments help your jaw feel freer, lighter, and HAPPIER-one gentle session at a time.
